So, as summer finally gets around to showing its face (if only for five minutes at a time), I started thinking about how I could make a cute and quick dress for Mini to make the most of the hot weather.
I used to live in Bournemouth, and I’ve got a real affection for old-fashioned seasides and all the trappings – candy floss, ice cream, seagulls nicking your chips. Partly I guess because I remember childhood holidays in Weston-Super-Mare, and partly because there’s something so pleasingly depressing about a seaside town off-season. Anyway. Back to the summer dress.
So, keeping on the beach theme, I was thinking about stripy deckchairs…
…when I happened upon this matching fabric at Minerva Crafts…
…and there’s my next dress!
If you wanna find out a little bit more about how I made this cute little tea dress, hop on over to the Minerva Crafts Blogger Network for a full rundown. I’m using a pattern that I’ve sewn from before, with a few alterations. It’s a lovely little dress and some cute pictures.
This is pretty much the last you’ll hear from me for a little while… exciting news… I’ve got another little bunny in the oven, due to arrive late July.
I’ll be posting intermittently for the next few months, hopefully, to rejoin you all when my maternity leave ends in March.
Lots of love,
